Emyvale Club Notes

July 26, 2016

Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League: They say goals wins matches & this was surely the case on Sunday last when Emyvale scored a late goal to rob Currin of victory. Currin started the better of the two teams scoring five unanswered points even though Emyvale had chances at the other end but squandered them. Emyvale found the net on two occasions in the first half through Daniel Mc Mahon & Daithi Colton & went in at halftime leading 2:3 - 0:8. Once again Currin started the better in the second half with three points in a row but once again Emyvale clawed their way back into the game & going into injury time, Currin led by one point but then super sub Rory Sherry toe poked the ball into the back of the net to win the match for Emyvale on a score line Emyvale 3:8 Currin 0:15. Team & scorers: Paudie Hayes, Sean Mc Meel, Gregory Devlin, James Mc Kenna, Conor Mc Quillan, Aaron Loughran, Anthony O'Brien, Gavin Mc Kernan, David Bellew, Daithi Colton 1:1, David Mc Allister 0:3, Jack Kelly, Ryan Mc Anespie, James Bellew 0:1, Daniel Mc Mahon 1:3. Subs. Karl Mc Quaid, Rory, Sherry, Ciaran Connolly, Fintan Mc Kenna.

Best Wishes: We wish a speedy recovery to Ryan Mc Anespie & Jack Mc Carron who both had to go off during Sunday's match with injuries.
