Funeral of the late Brian Sherry

The funeral of the late Brian Sherry, formerly of Tullycomiskey, will arrive at St Marys Church this (Thursday) evening for 7.30pm. Club members along with former players and members who were contemporaries of Brian are invited to join in a guard of honour as the funeral cortege arrives at St Mary's. Funeral mass is on Friday morning at 11am.

Brian Sherry had a distinguished football career with our club from the mid 1950s winning among a plethora of trophies two senior championships in 1956 and 1958 as well as a senior league in 1957. He emigrated to Birmingham shortly after the 1959 county final and had intended to return for the 1960 campaign but ended up spending the rest of his life there. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam.

 

The Kube

Keep free Sunday May 1st (May Bank Holiday Week end) for The Kube at the Hillgrove at 8pm. Based on the concept of the popular TV show this fundraising event will entertain as well as raising much needed funds for our club.
