Dr. Ward Cup: Blackhill collected 2 more valuable league points away to Killanny last Sunday morning. After a tight and rather cagey first half, two second half goals from Hugh Byrne and Andrew Burns proved the difference in the end. Killanny 0-11 Blackhill 2-07. Next match is against Oram in Blackhill on Sunday at 12:30.

Minors: Emerald Sarsfields continue to prepare for their final which no date has yet been confirmed for. Watch this space.

Juvenile Training: Continues this Saturday morning at 11am. This team will be participating in an U8 blitz in Doohamlet on Sat 12th Sept from 10am to 12.

Good Luck: A special word of thanks and appreciation to departing Priests Fr. Adrian Walshe and Fr. Kevin Duffy. Both men were popular members of the community and will certainly be missed by Muckno parishioners. Wishing them both the very best of luck in the new Parishes. Go n'éirí an t'ádh libh!

The Kevin McManus Appreciation Night: A great night was had by all on Friday evening last. Plenty of crack, good music, pints of beer and Gerry Duffy's chicken goujons - sure what more could you ask for? A huge crowd gathered to say fair well to our bar man Kevin and his girlfriend Ciara as they travel to New York. Presentations and words of thanks were made on the night including a memorable speech from Kevin himself. Feeling on top of the world, he took on Jimmy in one last game of pool - he lost!

Speedy Recovery: The club wishes Tommy Geehan a speedy and  full recovery from the recent  shoulder injury he sustained.
