U14s

Our U14 team suffered defeat at the hands of Knockbridge on Monday night. Despite the result, the team looks like qualifying for the semi final stages of the Monaghan league. Details will be given in the coming weeks.

U16s

In what has been a very frustrating season for our U16 team, yet another game was called off last night. Our next game is away to Truagh on Monday the 3rd August with a refixed game against East Cavan Gaels on Wednesday the 5th of August. These are two important games and two wins should see the team qualify for the semi-final stage. Meeting on Monday night at Lidl carpark at 6.45

Seniors

Our senior team had a convincing win over Carrickmacross in the Senior hurling championship semi-final last Thursday. Two goals in the opening minutes set the tone for what was to come and a strong performance resulted in a 6-29 to 0-5 win. The result qualified the team for the county final and yet another clash against Inniskeen. This game is fixed for Sunday 9th of August at 3.30pm. A dress rehearsal for this game is on the cards as we are due to play an away game against Inniskeen in the senior league this Thursday night.

Condolences

The club would like to offer its condolences to the Moloney family on the recent passing of Michael Moloney. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Centra Promotion
Centra stores around Ireland are running a promotion offering juvenile hurlers the opportunity to win a dream day out in Croke Park. The prize includes transport to Croke Park, a tour of the stadium, a skills session on the pitch with some top inter-county stars and lunch afterwards. Log on to centra.ie/gaa for more details. Please give this initiative your full support as it is a great opportunity for our young hurlers. Thanks also to McMahons Centra and Super Valu for their continued sponsorship of our senior team
