If there can such a thing as an equivalent of Barcelona star Lionel Messi in Gaelic Football, then Donegal have it in goal-scoring machine Geraldine McLaughlin.

The Termon full-forward scored two exceptional goals to beat Monaghan and win the TG4 Ulster Senior title for her county for the very first time.

The first goal was about quick-thinking, good feet and a deft finish, while the second was all about desire and courage.

"Geraldine has the heart of a lion," says manager Davy McLaughlin. "I told her she had to be ruthless today and when she went in for that ball (for the second goal) it was either the ball or the keeper and she got to the ball first. It was only going to end up in one place."

Player of the Match Aoife McDonnell and Donegal captain Katy Herron also contribute to this report by Jerome Quinn Media for Ulster Ladies Gaelic.
