Drumhowan club notes

July 21, 2015

Platinum Tanks RFL Div  2A  Last Wednesday 15th  July we lost narrowly to  table toppers Doohamlet on a scoreline of 2 -7 to 2-11. This probably means we will have to play Eire Og in a  relegation play off to see who stays in the Division. More details at a later date.

Maguire Transport MFC Div 1 Quarter Final - Last Tuesday night 21st July St Pat's Minors took on Clontibret. Please check social media for a result.

MFL Div 1 Cup Last Tuesday 14th July St Pat's lost to the Donaghmoyne 3-18 to 2-10 Next Tuesday 28th July they take on Truagh at 7.30 in Drumhowan.

Gerry's Prepared Veg U16 Div 1 Shield - Last Thursday the U16s defeated the Harp's in Ballybay on a scoreline 1- 16 to 3 - 7. Next Thursday 30th July the opposition in Ballybay at 7.30pm is Donaghmoyne.

Gerry's Prepared Veg U 14  Div 2 - We suffered a disappointing  heavy defeat at home to Toome  on Saturday last on a full time scoreline of 4-16 to 0-8  On the day very few players played up to form. Next game is away to Donaghmoyne on Saturday August 1st.

Gerry's Prepared Veg U12 - We had a good run out on Monday evening against Doohamlet in preparation for the Semi Final. This takes place on Monday next July 27th at home to Toome with a 7-30pm start. Again we ask our supporters to come out and cheer on the team.

U10- Truagh Tournament - We took part in this Tournament on Saturday morning last. We had wins over Cookstown and Emyvale and a defeat to Keady in the group stages. This left us playing defending champions Gowna in the Quarter Final and despite a spirited display we went under and out of the competition. Thanks to Truagh for the invite and hospitality and well done to our panel of players on a good mornings football despite the heavy rain.

Double Blitz - We host a blitz on this Thursday evening in Drumhowan at 7pm for both Under 8 & 10 . Anyone able to help on the night would be appreciated from 6-45 onwards. All players should be at the pitch for 6-40pm and it will be over at 8-45pm.

Fas Worker - The club are currently looking  for another Fas worker. If you or you know anyone who is eligible contact Martin Mc Elearney or Gerry Finnegan.
Congratulations to Eilish Mc Nally who was married to Patrick Fitzpatrick in Ballintra last Saturday with a reception afterwards in the Slieve Russell. Wishing them many years of happiness.
