Senior League
Clontibret 2-12, Latton 0-10. A great all round performance in the second half paved the way for an important victory in the league on Sunday.
Our next game is away to the Harps on Sunday, 31st May at 4pm. On Wednesday, 3rd June we are at home to Magheracloone at 8pm. On Saturday, 6th June we have Blayney at home at 7pm.

Reserve League
We played Cremartin in the league yesterday evening, result next week.
On Wednesday, 10th June we are away to Scotstown at 8pm.

Minor League
Clontibret 0-5, St. Pat's 1-13. We were well beaten by a strong St. Pat's team last week.
There will be a break for the minors for exams, with the next action being the championship in July.

U16
Clontibret 5-15, Corduff 3-10. The boys played very well against Corduff last week to secure two more league points.
This evening, we are at home to Blayney at 7.30pm.
The next action following that for the u16s will be in July.

U14
Best of luck to the boys as they take on Seans in the championship on Saturday at 12pm in Seans.
On Tuesday we have Cremartin at home at 7.30pm in the league.

U12
The boys battled hard in their opening summer league game against Tyholland last week but lost out in the end. Next game at home to Seans on Saturday, 30th May. Training continues each Monday and Wednesday at 6pm.

U10
Training again on Wednesday evening at 6pm. Go Games this Saturday in Castleblayney. All players are to be at the Community Centre for 9.15am. Parents are being asked to make themselves available to help with transportation. Your help is very much appreciated.

U8
After another great outing in the Go Games last Saturday we will hold u8 training this Friday at the football field from 6.30pm to 7.30pm rather than our usual Saturday morning slot.

U6
Training as usual on Friday evening at the field from 6.30pm to 7.15pm. All children aged 5 and 6 are welcome.

Monaghan v Cavan
Best wishes to our all from our club who are involved with the county senior and minor panels this weekend as they both take on Cavan in the first round of the Ulster Championship in Breffni Park.

Camogie
Inter-provincial Camogie Championship 2015: Semi-Finals Ulster 3-16 Leinster 3-12;Munster 2-13 Connacht 3-09. Final: Ulster 3-16 Munster 1-10. Camogie history was made in Monaghan this weekend when, not one, but two of our club players, collected inter-provincial medals in the interprovincial series of matches played in Portlaoise on Sunday last. Marie Greenan and Michelle Morgan, both household names in camogie, were nominated 6 weeks ago to participate in trials for the Ulster Junior panel. Since then, the girls have travelled on a weekly basis for training sessions to Dungiven, Derry where they underwent rigorous training in preparation for the competition. For Michelle the occasion was even more memorable as she came on as a sub in the final and scored an excellent point from play almost immediately. We congratulate both players, who have shown remarkable dedication to camogie, on the wonderful honour they have brought to our club and county. Let's hope they inspire other club members to emulate them and achieve such noteworthy honours! Well done girls, we are so proud of you!!
And as if this wasn't enough excitement for one week, Scoil Mhuire, Clontibret, was chosen as the county venue for recently-elected Camogie President, Catherine Neary's, nationwide tour of counties, and it was with great pride and excitement that school Principal Mrs Elizabeth Moorehead welcomed Catherine on Monday, together with Kathleen Woods, Ulster Camogie Cathaoirleach and Rónán McCarthy, Ulster Administrator. Also present were Dympna Kerr, Chairperson of the Board of Management, Cahal McGlone Treasurer of the Board of Management and Club representatives. The children excelled themselves in providing a beautiful, colourful guard-of-honour, on their arrival, and asked many challenging and pertinent questions of the President. They then presented all of the dignitaries with gifts before a photo-call, which was curtailed slightly due to the appalling weather. Similarly, an exhibition match which had also been planned had to be postponed, but not even the weather could dampen the enthusiasm of the pupils and Staff, the latter having prepared delicious refreshments for all the guests. Indeed it was with great reluctance that President Catherine and her cohort departed the warmth of the Clontibret welcome, as they headed for Armagh amidst a dreadful hail shower. Congratulations one and all on proudly flying the Clontibret flag yet again.
On Saturday last the U-12's participated in their final Armagh Blitz, before the commencement of the U-12 League. As per usual the girls gave an excellent account of themselves and this is due in great measure to coaches Marie and Aisling and the parents who show great support for this panel. Well done to all involved.
Our seniors have a bye in the Armagh League this week, following a great win over Culloville last week. Next week they play Castleblayney both in the Armagh and Monaghan Leagues so full attendance at training is imperative. Seniors are also reminded to keep an eye on the club Facebook page for updates and to respond promptly to messages re training and matches.
Whispers of an U-16 camogie exchange between Clontibret and 'old friends' from Kilcoole, Wicklow, are beginning to circulate - and not without substance!! A Club Executive meeting will be held shortly, followed by a meeting of parents to further 'flesh out' the plans. Sat/Sun June 20/21st and Sat/Sun July 4/5th are tentative dates being discussed but this will only be confirmed following training and meetings. This is a wonderful opportunity for our under-age players to engage with players of a similar age in an enjoyable, healthy, sporting and social setting. However it will require a lot of training, planning and preparation in advance. It is imperative that players interested in participating in the exchange are present at all relevant training sessions in the coming weeks. That said, 5 years ago the club hosted Kilcoole in a 2 night (both way) exchange and this was a huge success and long-remembered by both hosts and participants as positive and rewarding. So while the proposed exchange is a slightly scaled down version (one night stay) a successful template already exists. So watch this space!

Congratulations to Sinead Mohan who scooped the 'Female Athlete of the Year' award in Castleblayney College recently and to the many Clontibret students who collected a variety of academic and social awards.
Every good wish to U-10 player Nessa McGlone who, along with her little friends and classmates, will receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time on Saturday. We wish you every blessing, Nessa.   
Finally our sympathy is extended to Irene Kieran and her extended family on their recent tragic bereavement.
