Drumhowan club notes

Minors - St Patrick will start their season away from home this Saturday March 7th  when they take on Truagh in St. Mellans Park at 2.30pm. Good luck to the management team of Martin, Gavin, Colm  and Enda and all the players as they commence a very important season.


Junior Bs - the  game that was originally scheduled for this weekend will now be played on St. Patrick's Day. This means the B's will open their campaign against Donaghmoyne on Sunday 15th March at 12 noon in Drumhowan.


Under 16 -  St Patrick's training commences in Ballybay this Wednesday evening. A text will go out with details and all players are asked to attend. The first league game is scheduled for Thursday April 9th.

Under 13 - There is a tournament in Cloghan for this panel on Thursday 12th March at 7pm.

Under 12 - In preparation for the Spring League which commences on Sat 21st March we have a challenge game under lights in Drumhowan tonight Thursday 5th March  against near neighbours Doohamlet. All players should be at Drumhowan for 6-40 pm

Under 10 - This panel have been in action for the past four Saturdays in an indoor blitz held in Ballybay Recreation Centre. Over the 4 weeks we had two teams in action each Saturday. Our panel that tookpart was , Tristan Duffy, Jason Clarke, Killian McAdam, Ciaran Keenan,Jonathan Lavelle, Pete McGuirk, Tiernan Reilly, Martinez Brady, Oisin Mc Elroy, Conor Quinn, Tom Doherty, Finnian O Neill, Jerome Lavelle and Katie Mc Adam.  Thanks to coaches Aidan and Donal who looked after the team. Training continues each Monday and Thursday evening.

Under 6-8 - First training session of the season takes place on this  Saturday  March 7th from 4pm to 5pm in Páirc Mhic Eoin . We will run at this time for the month of March. It will then revert back to Mondays at 7pm in April. Please take both boots and runners during March as if the weather is really bad we will be indoors. However the intention is that training will be outside on the pitch so wrap up well. Any new players aged 5 or over are very welcome to come and attend as coaches Lorraine, Catherine and Grainne would like to see some new faces. Just come along and fill out a Registration Form on
the day.


Quizzes - thanks to all those who attended the Community Group Quiz last Friday night. Please also support St Brigid's Quiz this Friday night 6th March in the Pearse Brothers Centre at 8pm.


Sympathy - to the Mc Donnell family on the death of their aunt Molly O Shea(nee Forde) who was buried in Blayney on Wednesday 4th March.


Congratulations to Éadaoin and Gerry Woods on the birth of their baby son  Liam who came into the world  last Monday the 2nd of March.
