Monaghan manager Malachy O'Rourke is expecting a confident Tyrone side to take the field in their NFL Division One clash on Saturday evening.

The Farney County head into the Lion's Den at Healy Park for the opening round of this year's league and O'Rourke acknowledges the fact that they couldn't have been handed a tougher task.

Nonetheless, the Monaghan manager is relishing pitting his side against one of the best teams in the country.

"Tyrone will be confident, there is no doubt about that, they had a great run in the McKenna Cup but then as we all know Tyrone don't play challenge games," O'Rourke told the Northern Standard.

"The McKenna Cup gave them five games where they got their act together and they will be sharp on Saturday evening which makes it a massive test for us, but at the same time we are looking forward to it because we want to test ourselves against the best."
