U10s

The U-10  players  finished up last Sunday for the year with a blitz in Toome Astro turf against teams from Carrickmacross and Clontibret. A good days fun was had by all. We would like to thank the Rath na Nog for the use of their gym during the year and also Toome GFC  for the use of the Astro turf pitch last Sunday and the previous Sunday also. The U10s will be back in action in February. Details of venue, time etc will be available in the New Year

Parents of U8s and U10s

Castleblayney Hurling club are having a Variety Show in Iontas on the 30th January 2015. The club would like to include all of its juveniles in the show and we are looking for budding young singers to take part on the night. We would be delighted if your son would come along to a rehearsal in Iontas on Saturday morning the 20th Dec 2014 at 11am where we will outline how we plan to include our juvenile hurlers in the show. Please support this event as it is the 60th anniversary of our club this year.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our senior players Peter Treanor, Mark Treanor, Brian McGuigan, Hugh Byrne, Stephen Forde and Fergal Rafter and to senior manager Paul Hughes, all of whom were shortlisted for the Gaelic Life Ulster Hurling Team of the Year for 2014. Yet another great achievement for our senior team!!

Happy Christmas

The club would like to wish a Happy Christmas and a peaceful (and successful) New Year to all of our players and their families, our committee members, supporters and to our sponsors. Hopefully 2015 will see the club crowned All-Ireland Junior Hurling champions
