Clontibret club notes

November 18, 2014

Ulster Club Championship

Clontibret 0-7, Slaughtneil 1-9. We reached the end of the road in our championship campaign, which began on 18th May, on Sunday. It was a long, exciting and at all times enjoyable, journey, where everyone in the squad and backroom team gave their all. Epic victories over Kilcoo and St. Galls hinted at the prospect of Ulster glory, but it was not to be, and on Sunday we failed to rise to the heights which we have proven we are capable of. When we reflect on the overall campaign, it was a wonderful year, and when we came home on Sunday evening, Mick Duffy was still waiting on us.
