Platinum tanks RFL Division 3 FINAL Blackhill 2-13 Truagh 3-05

The reserve team secured the division three league title in Emyvale last Friday night. The game had some high quality scores from both sides and was highly competitive. Credit to both teams for an absorbing final.  Blackhill played well on the night and were good value for their win, a brace of goals from Andrew Burns early in the second half being the decisive scores. Goalkeeper Michael Shevlin, captain on the night accepted the cup from Seán McKenna representing C.C.M. Well done to manager Gene Murphy and his management team of John Costello, David Lennon & Paddy McNally.

We completed our regular season in the league last Sunday afternoon and have now qualified second with 27 points for the semi-final stage.

We have qualified for the second successive year finishing second in the league table for the Dr Ward Cup semi-final. All support welcome on Sunday at 3pm in Blackhill when we attempt to take a step forward and reach the Ward Cup Final.
