Blayney go in search of double

September 19, 2014

Castleblayney hurlers are aiming to complete the double this Sunday when they take on Truagh in the Silver Hill Foods senior hurling league final.

Blayney were already crowned senior hurling champions and now they are keen to add a second title for the year to their list of accolades.

A walkover from Iniskeen in the semi final has seen Castleblayney through to the decider and they go into the match as strong favourites.

Truagh have made great strides in hurling in recent years and are certainly a coming force having won the senior hurling shield final this year.

However, they will be without minor star Conor Boyle who suffered a nasty hand injury in the All-Ireland MHC 'C' final defeat to Mayo a few weeks ago.
