Monaghan's Colin Walshe breaks the ball against Down

The road to recovery starts now for Monaghan's All-Star defender Colin Walshe.

The Doohamlet clubman has undergone surgery on the cruciate ligament injury he suffered during the 0-11 to 2-22 All-Ireland SFC quarter-final defeat to Dublin.

He tweeted this morning: 'ACL op complete, thanks to Ray and all at #SSC! That's the easy part over with, now the hard work starts'.
