Championship Fever:
The Corduff Senior Men booked themselves a place in the next round of The McGuigan Brothers Intermediate Championship by beating Emyvale last Sunday. This game was intense from the throw in with Corduff taking control  and registering their first score in the second minute. With solid defending Emyvale were held scoreless until the 28th minute. By the interval Corduff went in 2 points ahead on a score line of 0-5 to 0-3. Emyvale led the scoring in the 2nd half  and  Corduff was denied a goal when Brendan McNally's shot hit the upright and by the 4th minute Emyvale levelled matters for the only time in the game on 0-5 each. From this stage in the game Corduff once again took control and the lead finishing 2 points ahead by the final whistle which was welcomed by a loud Corduff Cheer from the supporters. Scorers on the day were Padraic Keenan,  Brendan McNally, Keith McEnaney and John McEnaney. Management and supporters will be hoping that this winning momentum continues this weekend when Corduff play Clones. Throw in is at 5:30pm in Scotstown and we call on all the loyal supporters who made the journey last Sunday to do it again this Saturday. Best wishes to Manager Seamus McEnaney, his backroom team and players.
