Doohamlet club notes

April 22, 2014
Senior League: Doohamlet 0-12, Magheracloone 0-14.
After another gritty and passionate performance from Doohamlet we fell short narrowly again in Inniskeen to Magheracloone, after a slow start Doohamlet got on the score board with a point from Barry Mc Ginn and then further points from Greg Duffy, Barry Mc Bennett and Conor Marray left it 9 points to 6 points to Magheracloone at half time. A good performance by Ollie Hughes in the middle of the field and some superb points by Barry Mc Ginn in the second half always kept Doohamlet within reach of Magheracloone but unfortunately the clock was against us. Team: James Casey, Jason Mc Elroy, Marty Hughes, Gaby Casey, Darren Connolly, Kevin Mc Ardle, Damein Ward, Greg Duffy, Colin Walshe, Barry Mc Bennett, Paul Mc Ardle, Niall Connolly, Conor Marray, Shane Connolly, Barry Mc Ginn.

Minors lost to Toone on Tuesday last but with a few key players missing for us we will improve with every performance.

U16,s lost to a Aghabog/Currin ellamagated team on Thursday in Doohamlet. Yet again we came up against a team that were much bigger and older than us but credit to our boys who kept trying hard to the end.

U14,s hade a great win on Saturday against Eire Og in a high scoring game by both teams in a very entertaining game.
