Aughnamullen GAA Poker Classic: Our Annual Texas Holdem Poker Classic Takes place on this Saturday night the 18th January in Aughnamullen Social Centre commencing at 7pm. Registration is at 6.30pm with an Early Bird Chip of 2000. Admission is €50 with optional Buy Ins and Top Up of €20. Juvenile Affairs: Thanks to all who attended the juvenile meeting on Tues last and would to welcome the 2 new coaches. A SECOND MEETING will BE HELD THIS FRI EVENING THE 17TH JANUARY AT 7 30PM. So PLEASE make a special effort 2 attend & bring a friend.

Membership: Membership this year are as follows Adult Non Playing member €30, Family €55(2 Adults from 1 Family), Adult Player Over 18 €50, Adult Player Over 17 but U18 €30, Social Membership €15 - it is encouraged that anyone using the Walking Track to pay the Social Membership if they not wish to become Full Members of the Club.

Annual Dance: Our Annual Dance is being held on the 22nd February 2020 in the Social Centre. Guests of Honour this year will be the Hall of Fame Recipients, relevant Player of the year Awards and the successful Minor Treanor Cup Winning side of 2000. More details to follow.

Ireland Lights Up: It's that time of year again folks when Aughnamullen and hundreds of other Clubs all over Ireland light up their facilities and invite all the community to take part in one of the healthiest activities known to mankind namely walking. We invite the community of Aughnamullen, young and old, male and female to come along to Sarsfield Park anytime between 7 and 9pm on Thursday nights  and walk a distance that you are comfortable with.

Operation Transformation: As part of operation transformation & in conjunction with Monaghan Sports Partnership there is a walk at Aughnamullen GAA grounds from 11am next Saturday 18th January. Registration is at 10am with tea and refreshments served after the walk all are welcome.

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to wife Maggie, Sons Seamus & Peter, daughter in law Mary, grandchildren Maria & Ryan and extended Connolly family on the death of John Connolly Annaglaive
may god have mercy on his soul.

All Ireland Club Semi Finals: First of all congratulations is extended to Magheracloone who reached the All Ireland Intermediate Club Final on Saturday 25th January by defeating Mattock Rangers on Saturday last. Unfortunately Blackhill were defeated by 1 point in the All Ireland Junior Club Semi Final however they should be proud of the successful year they had in 2019

First Communion/ Confirmation: With First Holy communion on the 9th May and Sacrament of Confirmation on the 14th March Aughnamullen Social Centre are awarding special packages for families for meals and entertainment on these dates.  For further details contact Rosemary Johnston on 0872862074 or the Social Centre on 0429745626 after 8pm.

County Scene: The County U20 Squad played away to Cavan on Saturday last and were defeated by 3 points on a score line of 1-08 to 1-05 with our club representative Tiernan Duffy playing at mid field. This Saturday they play their final game of the league against Armagh in Crossmaglen at 2pm. Best wishes to the team and our club representatives Tiernan Duffy & Aaron Mc Gee. Whilst also this Saturday evening our County Senior team play old nemesis Tyrone in the final of the Dr Mc Kenna Cup in Armagh at 7.30pm. Best wishes to the team and our representative Michael Bannigan. Also well done is extended to Michael who gave a sterling display in Round 1 of the Sigerson Cup where 3 late points from the boot of Michael proved the difference in a 1 point victory for DCU over Garda College.

Under 8 & Under 10 Girls: Note from Aughnamullen Ladies that the Under 8 & Under 10 girls will be now be registered under the Aughnamullen Ladies however they will continue to train as part of juvenile coaching on a Saturday morning.
