Doohamlet club notes

June 12, 2019

Seniors:  A much depleted team travelled to Scotstown on Friday evening last and suffered a heavy defeat 0-21 to 0-09.  Doohamlet battled bravely in the first half with Paul McArdle very much to the fore at full forward.  Martin Hughes at full back was another player who caught the eye having a titanic battle with his opposite number.  Special mention to young Danial Connolly who made his Senior debut in this game and scored his first point at this level.

Our next fixture is a local derby when our neighbours Ballybay are visitors to O’Neill Park next Wednesday evening.

Reserves:  Our Reserves bowed out of the Crawley Cup at the semi-final stage last week with a defeat away to Carrick.

Best Wishes:  To former player and a true Doohamlet gael Shane J. Connolly who gets married on Friday to his fiancée Sabrina. Doohamlet GFC wish the happy couple many years of happiness together.

Blotto:  No Jackpot winner, numbers drawn 3, 2, 5, 1, 7, 4, 6.   Lucky dip winners Eamon McBennett, Clareoghill; Ciaran McManus, Grigg; James Markey, York St; Briege & Abbie Hughes, Oghill;  Sharon McManus, Grigg.  Next weeks Jackpot €10,000.
