Seniors: The Seniors won their first game of the year on Sunday last when they had a 2 point victory over Monaghan Harps on a score line of 1-16 to 1-14. This was an entertaining game throughout with some fine scores from both sides. In the first half Aughnamullen started brightly and were 4 points up after 15 minutes on a score line of 0-6 to 0-2. Gradually the Harps got into the game and at half time the home side led by 0-8 to 0-6. In the second half Aughnamullen got a dream start with a goal to leave 5 between the sides however the Harps quickly cancelled with 3 points off their own to leave just 2 in it again and at this stage the away side were on top and they further enhanced their grip on the game with a goal to go 2 in front 1-12 to 1-10 but credit to the home side they kept chipping away and finished strongly to emerge victorious by 2 points.  Next game is Friday 24th May away to Corduff

Under 17: Following Monaghan progress to the Ulster Minor Championship Semi Final there were a full round of fixtures brought forward to last Tuesday night where Aughnamullen played host to Corduff. On the night Aughnamullen produced a workman like performance to beat Corduff. In the first half Aughnamullen started brightly with an early point but credit to Corduff they made a great drive up the field and scored a fine goal to go 2 points up but back came the home side with a number of fine scores to go into a commanding lead but again Corduff never gave up and scored a couple of goals to reduce the lead at half time. In the second half the home side continued to dominate the game and they ran out easy winners.  Next game is next Tuesday night the 21st May away to Truagh at 7pm. Best wishes to team and management.

Under 15: The Under 15 team produced their best performance of the year on Thursday evening last when they had a hard earned victory over Inniskeen. This was a game which was up for winning right up to the final whistle and credit must be extended to the 2 teams on a great game of football. In the first half Aughnamullen started with a early point but Inniskeen scored a couple of quick fire goals to go in front only to be pegged back by the home side and scores were traded equally and half time Aughnamullen led by 1 point. In the second half points were traded equally between both sides and Aughnamullen had a small lead going into the final few minutes and they won the game in these final few minutes with 2 goals to emerge victorious. Next game is Thursday (tonight) at home to Doohamlet at 7pm. Best wishes to team and management.

Under 13: The Under 13 team defeated Aghabog in Aughnamullen on Tuesday evening last. This was a very exciting game throughout. In the first half Aughnamullen were in the ascendancy and led at half time by 2-10 to 2-03. In the second half Aghabog got back into the game and entering the final minutes the sides were level but a great Aughnamullen move up the field which resulted in a goal and Aughnamullen won on a scoreline of 5-13 to 5-10 to the cheers of the crowd.
