Fundraising Draw: As you maybe aware the club are running a fundraising draw this year with proceeds going towards the development of a new training field adjacent to the ones that are presently being used. Tickets for our draw cost €20 each or 3 for €50. Prizes are as follows Top prize of €5000 followed by Holiday to Europe, Tickets and overnight stay at an Ireland Rugby International and also ticket and overnight stay to a Manchester United Premier League game and also overnight stay at the Allingham Hotel Bundoran.
Lee Matthews in the Social Centre: Many thanks to all who attended the Lee Matthews concert in the Social Centre last Sunday night.
Seniors: The Seniors play Magheracloone in Round 4 of the Intermediate League this Saturday evening in Aughnamullen at 7pm. Best wishes to team and management
Reserves: The Reserves played Monaghan Harps in the Preliminary Round of the Championship on Saturday last and came away with a 6 point victory on a score line of 3-17 to 2-14. This was a great game of entertaining football with some great scores throughout. In the first half the home team starting brightly and ran into a 5 point lead after 10 minutes however Aughnamullen gave an exhibition of fine scores and scored 1-08 without reply to lead by 4 points at the break 1-10 to 1-06. In the second half Aughnamullen scored 3 of the first 4 points of the second half to lead by 6 points however credit to the Harps they scored a fine goal of their own to reduce the arrears to 3 but again back came the blues with a goal of their own and they never relinquished that lead and ran out 6 point winners in the end. They play Truagh in the Quarter Final on the 17th May. Next league game is on Saturday 4th May with a away game v Killanny
Under 19: The Under 19 next game is this Sunday with an away fixture against Donaghmoyne at 2pm. Best wishes to the team and management
Under 15: The Under 15 team produced a great result last Thursday evening away to Emyvale winning on a score line of 7-11 to 3-16. This was an excellent game between 2 evenly matched sides. In the first half the home side ran into a 9 point but credit to the blues they came back into the game and led at half time by 1 point 3-05 to 2-07. A couple of early scores increased the lead but credit to the home side they never gave up and still were in contention going into the final few minutes but the blues held firm to win by 7. Next game is on this Thursday night(tonight) at home to Drumhowan at 7pm. Best wishes to team and management.
Under 13: The U 13 team play their next league game this Saturday against Cremartin in Cremartin at 12 noon. Best wishes is extended to team and management
Under 11: The Under 11 panel played in the Spring League against Truagh last Saturday. There were some brilliant displays on show and shows the future for our young sarsfields of the future. Ladies Football: Hard luck is extended to the Senior Ladies where they had a narrow defeat against Magheracloone on Friday last on a score line of 1-11 to 0-11. They play away to Inniskeen this weekend check social media for details. The Under 14 girls had a thrilling draw away to Monaghan Harps on Tuesday last whilst the Under 16 girls play at home to St Brigids on Monday 29th April at 7pm. Best wishes to all teams.
