Ladies' Club Notes
U10 & U12
Training continues every Saturday at Scoil Bhride, Mullaghrafferty from 6-7pm. Don't forget the GUMSHIELDS!
Well done to our U10 girls who had the opportunity to grace the hallowed turf of Croke Park on Monday last in a very well organised blitz. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their day and made some great memories.
U16
Our girls got their season off to a great start with a goal to spare over Aghabog on Monday last. Played in wet and cold conditions with the wind bearing a factor at times, it certainly was a game of two halves and over the 50 minutes both teams played some great football.
Our girls dominated the first half, showing great intensity coupled with excellent passages of play to lead 3-06 to 0-03 at half time.
However, Aghabog upped their work rate considerably and with 5 minutes remaining they found themselves trailing by just one goal. In the closing minutes the Magheracloone cailíní displayed great resilience and determination to record their first win of the season. Full time score: Magheracloone 3-08 Aghabog 2-08. Well done girls and management.
Best wishes to the young Aghabog player who was involved in an accidental collision, we wish her a speedy recovery.
Next U16 fixture is on 29th April at home to Sean McDermotts at 7pm.
Seniors
Round 2 of the Senior League is this Friday, 19th April at 7pm away to Aughnamullen.
