Clontibret Club Notes

Membership
Its last call for club membership for 2019 which must be paid before 31 st March, in
order to be a fully paid up member, for the coming year. Full adult membership is €75
(€50 for students) while Youth membership is €50. Those who have contributed fully to
Clontibret Our Future have no membership fee, while there is also a reduced youth
rate for children of contributors to COF. It is extremely important that all players in
both football and hurling at all age groups pay their membership fees immediately as
only by doing so do they cover themselves for participation in the GAA Players Injury
scheme for both training and games.
Platinum Tanks Reserve Leagues
Its back to reserve football this weekend with two games scheduled. On Saturday 23 rd
in Division 1. we have Donaghmoyne as visitors with a 5pm throw in followed by a
visit to Blayney the following day for Division 3 at 12.30pm.
County Boys
Best wishes to our county players and their colleagues as they travel to Castlebar for a
tilt with Mayo at 2pm on Sunday. Well done to all last Sunday and wishing them well
for a successful journey west.
Senior League
With the conclusion of the Allianz Football league next weekend attention will turn to
local matters with five SFL league matches down for decision in March/April. First up
is a home game with Truagh at 5pm on Saturday 30 th March, followed by Doohamlet,
Carrick, Scotstown and Ballybay in rapid succession. These are all 5 point games with
county players available to play.
Juvenile Registration
It’s important that each player is registered to be able to continue to play for the
forthcoming year. Anyone who has been unable to register their child please contact
Fergal 087-2242726.
Juvenile Togs &Socks
There is also official club juvenile togs and socks available to purchase for €25 per
child. It you would like to purchase these please contact Fergal 087-2242726
U9
The u9s will play in the indoor league on Saturday the 30 th  March. More details next week.
U11
The u11s will play Donaghmoyne this Sat 23 rd  in the Spring League at 12pm.
U13
The u13s started their league campaign with a win against Clones last weekend.
Next game is the 30 th  March away to Latton at 12pm. The Division 6 team will begin
their campaign with a home game against Castleblayney on Sat 30 th  at 2pm.

Gaeltacht Scholarships
Coiste Cultúir & Gaeilge Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin each year offer scholarships
for young people in the county to attend Gaeltachta so as to enhance and broaden
their skill as Gaeilge and to promote Gaeilge in clubs and in the county and as a
whole. Applications are now open for the 2019 scholarships, with the closing date for
applications on or before 10 th April. Application forms are available from the resources
section of www.monaghangaa.ie and should be completed and returned to our
Cultural Officer, Eilis Clarke.
Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to a number of local families who suffered recent
bereavements; the McSkeane, Morgan and McGuigan families on the death of
Rosemary McSkeane, Tully; the Ward and Woods families on the death of Hugh
Ward, Annagap and the Gorman family on the death of Niall O’Hara, Longford. Ar
