ORAM CHRISTMAS PARTY: Saturday 8th December at 8.00pm in Oram social club, four course Christmas Dinner, live music by the Davis Bros, Great nights entertainment guaranteed, tickets priced @ 15 euros and 10 euros for OAPS in Rooneys.

 

NATIONAL DRAW: Tickets on sale priced at 10 euros from players and committee members, all proceedings in aid of the club.

 

SYMPATHY: Deepest sympathy is extended to the Marron Family on the death of former player Stephen Marron who was a member of the ST Dympna Cup winning minor team of 1988, to Mai Finnegan on the death of her brother, and to the Boyd family on the death of Paul Boyd.

 

WINTER PROGRAM: Continues on designated night for u-7s and u-9s on Tuesday & Thursday at 7pm in the hall.

In year of highs and lows on and the of the pitch, the mood of the meeting was generally upbeat with the clubs 10 year loan been re-payed to the bank in full an obvious highlight of the field the championship run for both senior and reserve team was highlighted, especially the performance of our senior team in reaching the semi final and pushing eventual winners Emyvale all the way in the semi final, our minors players success with Doohamlet was noted as was the wins at u-15 & 17 for Clan Na Gael, with Jason Irwin Ulster double winning heroics with the Monaghan minors and his performance in Croke Park noted as a high point of the year, the work of Emma & Louise and the social committee helped considerable the finances of the club in which Carl Laverty reported that the club financial affairs were once again in a health state. Obvious lows were the deaths of long time club stalwarts Tom & Rose Mc Bride both loyal supporters of our club, there loss leaves a void in our club which will be impossible to fill. A new tiered membership scheme will be launched in the new year with the aim of increasing membership high on the agenda, it is hoped that all families who use our facilities will become members of the club. The position left vacant will be filled at the 1st executive meeting of the new year.

 

CONGRATS: To senior player Ryan Mc Guinness who got engaged to Leanne Woods over the weekend

 

PLAYERS MEETING: On Friday night at 7.50 in the club, with new senior team manager Rory Woods, Rory brings a wealth of experience to the job we wish him well for 2019.
