Senior AGM – The senior AGM will take place in the club rooms on Friday 23rd November commencing at 8.00pm. All club members and any new members are invited to attend.

1988 Hackett Cup Reunion - To commemorate the 1988 Hackett Cup team we are hold a reunion on Saturday 1st December in the Scarna Inn for all players and mentors involved with this team. There will be a number of special guests on the night. A competition will be run where the Monaghan team of the decade (80’s) will be picked. Entries will be €10 with the winner with the correct selection receiving €300. A great night entertainments will be in store.

We are delighted to announce that our own Brendan Mc Nally is among nine volunteer coaches selected as finalists in the Translink Ulster GAA Coach of the Year Award. Vote for Barney and spread the word. Please check Emyvale twitter and facebook for the link to the vote. Well done Barney.

Better Coaches = Better Players. The following courses will be held shortly. Foundation Course - Fri 23rd/Sat 24th November (Can be hosted in a Club if requested). Award 1 Child & Youth/Adult Fri 30th/Sat 1st December (Hosted in Cloghan).The purpose of this course is to raise the standards of coaching within the county and therefore assisting our young players every opportunity to reach their potential. Additionally this course will provide coaches with an opportunity to further develop their knowledge / understanding in modern coaching practices and techniques. This is a great opportunity for clubs to invest in their coaches. Coaches will no doubt benefit from the course and your club / players with reap the rewards long term.

Forde Cup – The return of the popular Forde cup commences this Sunday the 25th November with the following two rounds on 2nd December and 9th December respectively. All players eligible to play should contact Ollie/Shane.

Congratulations to our neighbours Scotstown who overcame Derry champions Coleraine in the semi-finals of Ulster Club Championship. Congratulation also to Truagh who won the Senior League Title on Sunday last against Carrickmacross.

Sympathy – The club would like to extend its sympathies to Glynn Williams on the death of his father Mervyn Williams.
