Eurotech Junior Football League  - Drumhowan survived a tight game in Pairc Mhic Eoin  last Friday night the 8th of June when they just about did enough to beat Scotstown. They started the game brightly scoring the opening 3 points in the first three minutes with the scores coming from Kieran Mooney and Ciaran Duffy.  They didn't get another point for the next 20 minutes with Scotstown scoring an unanswered 1-4. Drumhowan however finished  the half brightly with 2 points coming from  the boots of Kieran Mooney and Mark Mc Cabe to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-5 Scotstown 1-4.Drumhowan opened the 2nd half in whirlwind fashion kicking 7 points without reply  coming from Mark Mc Cabe x2 Ciaran Duffy, Kieran Mooney and Kevin Mooney x 3.  After a scoreless 8 minutes Scotstown kicked 2 points with Mark Mc Cabe replying with 2 points  entering the closing stages. Scotstown stages a mini revival scoring 1-1  to  leave only 2 points in it going into the final minute. However top scorer Mark Mc Cabe   kicked his 6th point of the night to leave 3 points in it at the final whistle.  The game finished Drumhowan 0-16 Scotstown 2-7 Team and Scorers: Enda Duffy, Paddy Mulligan, Liam Mc Guirk, Niall Mooney, Aiden Quinn, David Millar, Michael Atkinson 0-1, Anthony Mulligan, Aidan Duffy, Niall Duffy, Kevin Mooney 0-3, Ciaran Duffy 0-2, Mark Mc Cabe 0-6 (2f), Kieran Mc Elroy, Kieran Mooney 0-4 Subs: 2nd Half 10 mins Ciaran Deery for Paddy Mulligan  20mins Tom Mc Guirk for  Kieran Mc Elroy BC                                                                                    This Saturday the 16th of June they travel to Aghabog in a crucial away game. A win is essential if they want to play in the cup section of the league. Throw in is at  7pm.

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2 A - Last Wednesday (last night) the 13th  of June the Bs took on the parishioners Ballybay. Check social media for a result. Next game is at home in Páirc Mhic Eoin at present scheduled for  Sunday 24th June at 12.30pm with  Carrick  the opposition.

Manor Farm U15 Division 3  - The league starts back after the exams on Thursday 21st June at 7.30pm with an away trip to Inniskeen. This may change depending on the U13 Final.

 

Gerry's Prepared  Veg U13 Div 2 Championship Semi Final    Drumhowan 3-9  Aghabog 1-11  The  U13s had a good win in Aghabog on Thursday night last after a keenly contested match all the way through. There was never much in it at any stage with Aghabog ahead by a point at half time. However a good second half along with solid defending saw the team hold out for the narrow win. We now meet Clontibret in the final who had a big win in the other semi final. No confirmed date yet but it is proposed to have it some stage over the weekend of June 24th. On this Thursday night June 14th at 7.30 in Drumhowan they play Scotstown in the penultimate league fixture.

 

 Gr 8 Entertainment U11 Liam Stirrat Development League  - The first game in the league is away to Magheracloone on Saturday 24th June.

 

Monaghan Co Co Go Games -  U7-9  -  Drumhowan host a Double Go Games Blitz on this Saturday morning the 16th of June. Any one able to help out around 9.30am for an hour would be appreciated to get the event up and going. All players should be in Drumhowan for 9.40am.

 

Kelloggs Cúl Camps 2018 - This will take place in Ballybay this year starting on Monday July 16th. A fun action packed week where children aged 6 - 13 learn and play GAA games with qualified coaches.  Register now at gaa.ie/kelloggsculcamps

Under 5-7-9  Juvenile training continues each Monday evening at 7pm. There is a small number of training tops still available.
