Breakfast Morning: Don't forget the Breakfast morning is being held this Sunday morning in the Social Centre.  Breakfast will be served between 8am - 12.30pm so come out enjoy a good healthy breakfast before heading off to cheer on the County teams in Omagh

 

Lotto: The Lotto was held on Sunday night last the numbers drawn were 4,11, 22, 24 there was no winner

Seniors: The Senior team played Toome in Round 6 of the league on Sunday last in which they were beaten on a score line of 3-14 to 0-18. This game could be described as a game of 2 halves where Aughnamullen playing with the elements in the first half wtih our scores coming from Michael Bannigan(0-4), Edmond Mc Ardle(0-4), Darren Geoghegan (0-2) and Keith Sheridan(0-1) to  lead by 0-11 to 1-02 at half time.  In the second half Toome came out flying and scored  2-06 to our 0-01 to our 1 point from Mark Mc Ardle to lead by 3-08 to 0-13 after 12 min however our boys came back with 3 consecutive points to reduce the lead to 1 but at this stage Toome stepped up on the ante and remained in front till the final whistle.  Next game is on this Friday night away to Donaghmoyne at 8pm all support welcome. Reserves: The Reserves played host to Castleblayney on Wednesday of last week where they were beaten on a score line of 4-09 to 1-14 this was a much improved performances than those of previous games.  In the first half things didn't start to well with Blayney going into a 13 point lead courtesy of 4 goals however Aughnamullen got back into the game with a Darren Geoghegan goal to leave the half time score 4-04 to 1-05. In the second half following a number of substitutions the boys increased the tempo and further scores by Damien Duffy, Kieran Duffy, Shane Forde left only 2 points in it with 5 minutes to go but the Faughs kicked the final 2 scores to be victorious on this occasion.  Next game is the championship against Clontibret in a few weeks time

Best wishes: Best wishes is extended to Joel Wilson & the county U 17 squad when they play Down in the Ulster Minor Championship this Sunday in Omagh at 2pm.  Also Best wishes is extended to the County Senior Squad when they play Tyrone also in Omagh at 4pm

 

Under 15: The Under 15 team play away to Drumhowan tonight(Thursday) at 7.15pm all support welcome

 

Under 13: The Under 13 team play their next game on Tuesday of next week 22nd May at home to Cremartin at 7.30pm. All support welcome

 

Under 11: Both Under 11 boys teams played in the Spring League Finals on Saturday last in Cloghan. They played Eire Og & Drumhowan respectively. The boys performed well in both games and look forward to more games in the coming weeks

 

Thank you: Thank you is extended to all the volunteers who recently helped out at the football fields in repairing the goalmouths and general maintenance on the field

 

Under 14 Ladies: The Under 14 Ladies played Aghabog at home on Monday night last.  On the night Aghabog proved the stronger but the Aughnamullen Ladies had good performers in Lauren O Grady, Ellie Ward & Ulrika Mc Mahon. The Under 16 team have a home game on Monday night next against Tyholland all support welcome.

 

Hard Luck: Hard luck to County Ladies Minor team and our Club reps on the team Saoirse Duffy, Aoife Bannigan & Erin Hamill who were beaten in the Ulster Final on Saturday last against Cavan.

 

Best wishes: Best wishes is extended to Sarah Mc Brien and the County U 16 team who play Antrim in the Ulster Final this Saturday in Belfast at 2pm

 

Note: In the past number of weeks when I was talking about the County u14 team I was in error about one of our club rep on that team. It was in fact Nicola Mc Gee along with Ulrika Mc Mahon  who were members on the team and according to the manager Niall Treanor Nicola played a vital part in helping Monaghan reach the Ulster Final this year

 

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to former trainer with our Senior team Gerry Murphy on the death of his mother Mary Murphy Castleblayney may god have mercy on her soul.

 

Well Done: Well Done to all the locals who done the Darkness into Light walk on Fri/Sat last especially our Monaghan Rose Hannah Mooney who lead the walk and Rose Mooney who spearheaded the participants from our community a very good worthy cause

Aughnamullen Parish Tractor Run IV: The Aughnamullen Vintage Club have announced their intention to run the Parish Tractor Run on Sunday 8th July. They welcome all suggestions and ideas as to how to further develop this most successful event in the life of our Parish community. The previous Tractor Runs have been highly significant in both raising funds for the Parish, and more importantly, providing us with an opportunity to celebrate our Parish identity.
