Bradley feels Monaghan are the team to beat

Tyrone's Mark Bradley

Tyrone forward Mark Bradley believes that they are facing the form team in Ulster when they take on Monaghan in the opening round of the provincial campaign.

The Red Hand County are bidding to land a coveted third consecutive Ulster title this year, but they face a tough opener against Monaghan.

They have never won a three-in-a-row in Ulster and if they are to do so, they will have to beat a Monaghan side that are going into the championship on the back of an excellent league campaign which included a first ever win over Dublin at Croke Park.

"I will be concentrating on a few club games first but then its all about Monaghan and from a Tyrone point of view you can't look any further ahead than that," Bradley told the Ulster Herald.

"The league is over now and its championship time and that is all that matters. Monaghan have been flying during the league and they really look as though they have stepped it up from last year and they look like the toughest opponent in Ulster at the minute, so we have our work cut out and we are going to have to do a lot of work now in the next month or so."
