The Tyrone team to meet Monaghan in Castleblayney tomorrow shows six changes from the one that snatched victory over Kildare in the previous round.

A glorious point from captain Mattie Donnelly deep into injury-time gave the Red Hands a 1-16 to 0-18 success in Newbridge two weeks ago - but the win came at a cost as key defender Tiernan McCann suffered a cracked kneecap.

Colm Cavanagh, who was named to start in last Saturday's McKenna Cup final defeat to Donegal but replaced before throw-in, partners Donnelly at midfield.

The younger brothers of Donnelly (Richard) and McCann (Conall) have also been handed starts by manager Mickey Harte while Michael McKernan, Ronan McNamee and Kieran McGeary come into defence.

Rory Brennan, Hugh Pat McGeary and Padraig McNulty drop to the bench as Ciaran McLaughlin and Cathal McShane miss out completely.

Tyrone (Allianz FL v Monaghan): Niall Morgan; Michael McKernan, Ronan McNamee, Cathal McCarron; Conor Meyler, Padraig Hampsey, Kieran McGeary; Colm Cavanagh, Mattie Donnelly; Conall McCann, Niall Sludden, Peter Harte; Lee Brennan, Richard Donnelly, Connor McAliskey.

Subs: Mickey O'Neill, Mark Bradley, Rory Brennan, Frank Burns, Aidan McCrory, Darren McCurry, Hugh Pat McGeary, Ronan McNabb, Padraig McNulty, David Mulgrew, Ronan O'Neill.
