Armagh and Donegal will meet in the second Dr McKenna Cup semi-final on Wednesday night after accounting for Derry and Monaghan respectively.

The winners will progress to next Sunday's final against Tyrone, who defeated Fermanagh in the first semi-final at Brewster Park this afternoon.

Andrew Murnin scored a first half goal as Armagh defeated Derry by 1-15 to 0-13 before an attendance of 2,506 at the Athletic Grounds. Kieran McGeeney's men led by 1-8 to 0-5 at the break and despite some good scores from James Kielt, the visitors couldn't close the gap in the second half.

Paddy McBrearty was on fire with 1-8 as Donegal romped to a 4-17 to 0-19 victory over Monaghan in Clones. Ryan McHugh, Jamie Brennan and Odhran MacNiallais also raised green flags for the visitors who had made a wasted journey to the same venue a week ago.

Jack McCarron kicked 0-8 for the home side who trailed by 0-10 to 2-9 at half-time and also missed two second half penalties.
