The pre-season competitions continued unabated tonight with third-round action in both the Dr McKenna Cup and Connacht SFL.
Mayo opened their campaign at home to Leitrim and Roscommon hosted Sligo in Connacht, while there were six games down for decision in Ulster.
Cavan welcomed in-form holders Tyrone to Breffni Park, Derry entertained Down and Rory Gallagher brought his confident Fermanagh side to Ballybofey to face Donegal.
Armagh, Monaghan and Antrim all hosted colleges opposition, including the mouth-watering meeting of the Orchard County and UUJ at the Athletic Grounds.
