Clontibret Our Future

The funding that was announced for our club last week in the Sports Capital Grants is very welcome and much good work was done by a number of people to get it over the line. It means that we will now be in a position to make a start on laying our new pitch early in the New Year. Rather than replacing the Clontibret our Future fund, the Sports Capital grant merely complements it as there will still be a significant shortfall in funds in order to get grass growing. This means that contributions to the Clontibret our Future fund are now all the more critical as development begins. If you haven't been approached yet please contact your promoter or any member of the club executive to complete your contribution for Year 3. If you haven't yet made any contribution to the fund, it is not too late to start as all contributions, large or small will be gratefully accepted. Please be as generous as you can so that this plan can soon become a reality.

Gold Rush Run/Walk

The annual Gold Rush run (3mile/5mile) will be held on Wednesday 27th December at 2pm. Charities to benefit from this year's Gold Rush will include the new Downs Syndrome centre for the North East to be opened shortly in Carrickmacross. This is your chance to run or walk off the Christmas turkey and make a contribution to a worthy local cause at the same time.

End of Year Events

Other end of year events includes the Juvenile presentation on Wednesday 27th and the Senior presentation night on Friday 29th December.
