Seneschalstown gave a dominant display in the first half to go in at the break 17 points to the good.

Alan Mulvany, James Conlon and Sean Carey each hit the back of the net in the first half. There was a point each from play by Brendan Lynch,  Colin Gleeson, Dylan Keating, James Conlon, James Meade, Sean Carey.

Sean Noonan scored three points in the first half with two particularly sweet strikes from the right hand side of the pitch with his left foot.

The defence swept up any loose ball that came into their area in the first half.

Seneschalstown went inb at the break 3-10 to 0-2 in front. The lead could have bigger bigger but for the heriocs of the Castletown keeper.

With the replacement of Brendan Lynch, Sean Carey and Robert Ruddy in the period before the end of the first half and the start of the second half, the team took time to settle back into a rhythm in the second half.

Castletown scored two goals to reduce the gap in the early part of the second half and had further chances to narrow the gap but for some good defending from the Yellow Furze defence.

points from Edward Meade, Dylan Keating and James Conlon kept Seneschalstown in control of the game. A goal from Ryan O'Dowd late in the second half sealed the issue.
