OK our Christy Ring champions make the next step and this year promotion is imperative with our Leinster round robin rivals operating in 2A. Most of the games are at home so now is the best chance to strike.
Walsh Cup had many positives such as beating Offaly at HT, a hard fought tit for tat win over Kildare and a comeback that could of been of the all time greats against ITC.

I doubt we've seen the last of Toher on the hurling panel but they could of done with him tomorrow given there's a few injuries.
Trim do have a strong hurling background but they have produced footballers like Darren Fay so it's not that mad that Toher can kick a big ball too.

Good performance from Meath hurlers today. Never much between Meath and Down over the years. A lot of talented players out injured still to come onto today's panel which bodes well for future. Great to see Steven Clynch still playing so well, but good all round performance. Big game next week v Derry at home again.

Excellent performance can't fault them. Let's hope for more of the same.

ive heard about 5 different stories about toher,,,so its not as cut and dry as it seems but he will be needed now that joey keena is out for an extended period of time

After yesterdays performance i don't think the hurlers will miss Toher for the League too much. Meath should be able to win 2B without him. let him establish himself with the footballers and get him back in towards the end of the league and for championship.

Joey Keena will be a huge loss, he was immense yesterday.

Pauric kelly, Darragh, Kelly, Gavin McGowan and Mark O'Sullivan all coming back from injury in next few weeks so there's plenty of depth there. Things looking good for the year ahead.

Bizarre second half. 4 red cards, 3 of them to Derry. Could have been a lot different without the reds.
