Not many, only one starter. But some good under 17's coming up. Colm Coyle is manager so fitness and coaching won't be a problem. They have been playing challenges seem to be doing fairly well but hard to gauge

To be honest, most of our best minors from last year are part of the U21 panel,so it is pretty much a new minor side this year.

Which ones do you rate? Shane Walsh and Morris look potentially good.

is young Aherne from Ratoath still eligible . think he is a great young player . Freyne from the Hill and Martin from Na Fianna also . From what I remember St Peters , Ratoath and na Fianna should have a few if my memory serves me right. Thought last year's team were super and unlucky

yeah is he is still eligible, you are correct with the 3 clubs you mentioned. There is a combined 12 from Dunboyne, Ratoath and Na Fianna. 4 from Summerhill as well

lasts years team were good enough to win Leinster,I reckon if they had Conor Moriarty they would have done it.It is good to know that we have teams that are contenders coming through though, that is the most important thing.

Think it is at 12 o'clock and the Leinster Twitter page said the Downs pitch in Westmeath but I also heard Kinnegad so not sure

How do you expect them to do?

Game throws in at 12.00 and the venue is St Marys Rochfortbridge. I wouldn't read too much into the result but the performance and the shape of teh team will be interesting. 8 or 9 of the current panel were on last years panel and although not many of them got too much game time, apart from Robbie Clarke, they will have gained good experience from their involvement. Last year they were unlucky on two fronts - firstly to lose to Kildare where they conceeded most of their scores from free kicks. Secondly, in losing to Kildare they didn't get a 'back door' option which seems harsh. Remember, Laois who they beat in the first round got a second go and then got hammered by Kildare in the Leinster Final. They then got a third go playing in the All Ireland Q Final as the Leinster runner up and losing to Galway (although not by much!). It seems to be a weird back door system at minor!

The backdoor system is a joke to be fair.Any players to watch out for apart from last years minors?

FYI on Hoganstand
Colm Coyle's reign as Meath Minor Football manager will get off to a competitive start when the young Royals meet neighbours Westmeath tomorrow (Saturday 11th February) in Rochefortbridge with a 12 noon throw in. Best of luck to all concerned.
