GPS player tracker.

(Oldest Posts First)

Well lads,
Just looking for your thoughts on something. All the county teams have the GPS trackers for training and games and I was wondering what the uptake for the technology is like in the club scene? Has anybody used any sort of GPS trackers withtheir club or do you even see any benefit for the average joe club player?

I could be wrong but I think Seneshcalstown invested in a couple of them a few years ago.
Serious money for the units.

Personally I think it would be ludicrous for clubs to be thinking about having these and is another sign that the club game is getting ridiculously out of hand.

They are a aid to a team manager in analysis of players w.r.t selecting team and planning specific training. Hate to say it but this is a small part of a trend towards those with money getting advantage over those that don't. Not sure if tide can be kept out but the ~GAA have overall been very good up to now in promoting Community first and keeping opportunities open to all.( Some exceptions but deserve massive praise )
