Heard they is new competition starting for 16/17 year old in gaelic football. it is for people who are not doing exams. clubs are joining other local clubs to make up numbers. Just wondering has anybody heard about it and know any further details

Didn't they run something like this a few years ago or did I imagine it? It was U17, non exam lads. It was 7 a side or so, points only?

It's a cross border competition against teams from Kildare.
About 20 clubs taking part forming 10 teams - bigger clubs fielding on their own.
No idea of the start date but heard the could be a final in Abbotstown at the start of July so I'd imagine it is starting soon.

think it is a brilliant idea as it means a lot of players can get match time at these ages as some of these lads cannot get onto stronger Division 1 and Division 2 Minor teams
