I like the cut of that young Conor Grimes chap from louth...he could do damage if we are not careful

They conceded 3-11 which isn't :)

Should be a very good game, even if it is played at a poor venue for supporters. Hopefully Meath will have more intensity first day out than last year.

Good score, no matter the opposition. We have been warned

In fairness Ziggy we put 7 goals last Carlow a couple of years back and no one taught it any great achievement, I'm more inclined to look at the 3-11 Carlow scored which suggests the Wee County could be somewhat porous at the back

Agreed but we only scored 13 points in that match and Carlow are a bit better now.Look imo we should beat Louth, but I'm nervous about it. :)

I watched some league Louth games this year and they have some really decent players. Personally I like Jim McEneaney, Padraig Rath among others. They are capable putting together some really good passages of play even if it was div 4. I remember before the 2010 leinster final and the newstalk off the ball roadshow was in Drogheda, and Colin Kelly was predicting a Louth win and I know by listing to him he believed it. I think most people taught he was joking. He wasn't. Louth will up it couple of levels for Meath and with Kelly there will be a extra spice I reckon. Louth for some reason dont believe they can Dublin thought the years I mean , but do believe they can beat Meath. And should have on a number of occasions even when Meath where at there peak. So its going to be a real test for Meath. I am honestly not sure what's going to happen if we play like we did against Loais we should win. But he knows what type of Meath team is going to turn up against Louth. We made hard work of the Wicklow game last year a repeat of that will see us lose. We should win but this is a local derby anything can happen.

I have to say its a bit ridiculous that it's over 4 weeks after the Louth Carlow game. The whole thing has gone very flat imho, very few club games. We are at what should be peak season and very little happening. The Meath panelists must be sick of the sight of each other with no games. This game should be on the 29th May and with the provincial final wrapped up by the first weekend in July.

I think it a joke and destroying club football and lowering the standard of county football- no wonder county football is so poor to watch with these 'blanket' defences -reminds me of u9 football!

Meath always seem to be the last team to play in Leinster. I agree four weeks is too long to wait around. Two weeks is probably too short considering if the Louth and Carlow match had of gone to a replay. Three weeks would of been ideal. That would of been the Bank Holiday Weekend in June. Anyway bring it on. I cannot wait for this one.

Too long to wait and the venue is a disgrace for both sets of supporters, we have made very hard work of worse teams than Louth, not overly confident. Game is very 50/50 Imo.

I was at the meath training session this morning I must say the lads are flying.one thing that struck me was the McCabe led the session and Mick O'Dowd did not have much input into proceedings.

I heard word from a player on the Donegal squad that recently played in the challenge match and he stated he was very impressed with Meath particularly their speed and movement, he couldn't remember the final score but confirmed the 5 goals and said they took a tanking, make of that what you will but I'd rather be hearing positive stories than negative ones at least

If we see louth as a stern test we have no reason to be asking how will we beat dublin on other forums

any1 who thinks Meath will lose this game is deluded.
we are far better than Louth... we will win this by 10 points pulling up
we are preparing for Dublin in Leinster, no one else

I often commented in the league games that we have speed, but our movement was poor and we weren't using our speed the way we should.
