Bective seem to be clear favourites in Junior, it will depend how the hurling is goin for Dunsany if they challenge or not, Meath Hill maybe but they're just over achieving in the league haven't done well in championship and no doubt we'll have 3/4 second teams get to the quarters and duly implode. Anyone else to be taken seriously. ahherehey (Meath) - Posts: 18 - 11/04/2016 15:10:52 1844323 Link 0 |
Was out in trim on Sunday and again the argue ment about first teams playing junior clubs first st Brigids have being brillant all year in league and than have to come up against a Navan team who had a very strong team out !! There two midfielders ran the show for them who are 100% senior standard , they also had Henry finnegan , Ian Matthews , David quirke all playing this really isn't fair as you will see later in the championship al does players will be gone to senior something needs to be done about this meathman20 (Meath) - Posts: 83 - 13/04/2016 11:36:12 1845047 Link 0 |
The Drum will beat Meath Hill at the weekend. Looking forward to the game as a neutral. Overall they have better players and Skelly back will give them a good edge. Should be a cracker pretender (Meath) - Posts: 358 - 13/04/2016 12:14:48 1845085 Link 0 |

No they just won last two championship ! So your saying a junior team with 4 or 5 lads who were part of a keegan cup winning team would have a chance of winning a junior?? I just feel like the second teams in the group should play each other first which would be fair as you seen last year with Navan they beat Meath hill and Brigids in first two rounds with a strong team and than got hammered by a poor skyrne team in last round after loosing there main players to the seniors !! meathman20 (Meath) - Posts: 83 - 13/04/2016 12:53:20 1845114 Link 0 |
Analyst the second teams are never left intact thats where the discrepancies occur towards the end of group stages and quarters, agree they'd go close. I believe they should have to name 20 players on a senior club panel. ahherehey (Meath) - Posts: 18 - 13/04/2016 13:00:11 1845117 Link 0 |
O mahonys had 2 players on their junior A team that played senior football last year. The other midfielder has never played a minute of senior football. Bridget's got a man sent off and played the first half as a blanket defence when they had a gale behind them. It was run out the clock football by o mahonys. I said senior standard didn't say they did !! And they had 4 players James o malley , Damien Moran , Henry finnegan and Ian Matthews all appeared for them in championship meathman20 (Meath) - Posts: 83 - 13/04/2016 17:42:37 1845322 Link 0 |
Forgot o malleys cameo last year but Ian Matthews didn't play. I see your point though, however what's wrong with having a senior standard player playing junior A? Surely all junior clubs should strive to have a senior standard players on their team NaNa (Meath) - Posts: 49 - 13/04/2016 18:52:30 1845353 Link 0 |
I know but I'm just saying would it not be fair for example in that group that the first two rounds Brigids athboy and carnaross play each other and the 3 second teams play each other lest by them they play senior teams they will have a fairer chance as does teams will have a junior team that they would have for remainder of th championship meathman20 (Meath) - Posts: 83 - 13/04/2016 19:27:42 1845367 Link 0 |

Senior clubs strike again .... Amazes me what goes on still where senior clubs can pull strings with their second team games and worst of all the county board gives an awful excuse as to why the game has been put back a week it's a joke .... Anyway all set up again for another senior clubs 2nd team to win the junior B jackser (Meath) - Posts: 37 - 16/04/2016 10:09:49 1846083 Link 0 |

Ziggy ... I agree that both teams will have a good chance this year but I think your missing the point I was making about championship games being called off 2 days before the game to suit a senior club at junior B level jackser (Meath) - Posts: 37 - 16/04/2016 10:38:50 1846093 Link 0 |

Quit bitch'n about the second teams in junior, thank God for them they mean dat beer belly junior players have to tain abit more and it brings the standard up,, o'mahonys have fielded much better junior teams than that,,, bridgits got beat that's that. They might have had good lge format but they were nearly relegated last year.. STOP crying and put in more effort otherlad (Meath) - Posts: 137 - 17/04/2016 14:37:54 1846395 Link 0 |
