I see Boardsmill, Moynalty, Dunderry and Trim are the only junior B teams playing this week? id that due to the two first teams having been lads involved with the Meath minors? also any one want to make a few predictions? who is there to watch out for this year? peterpan1 (Meath) - Posts: 9 - 06/04/2016 11:52:06 1842510 Link 0 |
Think it could be finally Moynalty's year - you'd imagine Dudley Farrell will be able to lift them up a level! I think Boardsmill, after coming down from Junior A would be next strongest and St. Vincents. Do Boardsmill still have them two county minors from a year or two ago? I think a few teams will be happy that the revamped structure got booted out - especially in Group A. Three usual challengers in one group, an early slip up and it could have been a disaster. The Big Horse (Meath) - Posts: 28 - 06/04/2016 16:09:18 1842705 Link 0 |

Boardsmill to win the junior B with a solid young team and come alive in the championship, Moynalty and Vincents being the closest competitors. HairLikeSheep (Meath) - Posts: 6 - 18/04/2016 14:30:28 1846843 Link 0 |

Tend to agree, you more or less have it to a tee.. I thought Slane looked good at the weekend. It will take a good team to be beat them. But Moynalty,Vincents,Boardsmill can all have a say in this.Trim are decent but cannot see them winning it. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 09/08/2016 16:11:47 1898909 Link 3 |
Spot on with everything you've said there. Moynalty, Vincents, Slane and Boardsmill are the pick of the first teams. Boardsmill peaking at the right time, haven't done much in the league. Always one or two second/ third teams that do well and that looks to be St Pats, Dunboyne and possibly Kells this year. They could be weakened as the knockout stages progress. Think Slane will come up just short but they're definitely heading in the right direction. If St Pats can hold onto their players they'll be there or thereabouts judging by results. Wouldn't surprise me if Moynalty and St Vincents meet again later on. I'd put these two slightly ahead of Boardsmill.

group A seems to be the strongest, moynalty only beating trim by 2 and Vincents by 1, Vincents and Trim will be interesting this week. cant understand how Trim are doing so well at this level after struggling for a few years. St pats seem to be very strong as well. i still dont see moynalty winning. does anyone know the format after the final round? who goes straight through and who goes into play-offs? philips1 (Meath) - Posts: 42 - 10/08/2016 07:55:24 1899208 Link 0 |
In Trims case, Every now and again the Soccer stars Come back to try and stay fit which helps. Don't forget they won this grade only a few years ago. They do have a lot of young talent coming through also.

Was anyone at the trim Vincent's game? Are trim now contenders? They seem to be on a good run. Which group is the strongest? Are pats that strong or are they just in a weak group? philips1 (Meath) - Posts: 42 - 13/08/2016 10:03:38 1900517 Link 0 |
I would say Trim must be contenders

Moynalty will walk this grade in my opinion. And could go far in the Junior A in 3-4 years time. overthehill72 (Meath) - Posts: 334 - 15/08/2016 13:58:18 1901279 Link 0 |
