Games will get harder as we move through the league , with biggy back in the mix , possibly starting Tobin I think we can put up a good show and hope to get points here .

Yes I think we can win here but it will be tough and Fermanagh will be anxious to put the Derry defeat behind them and not enter the three week break pointless, I reckon Tobin should start the next day too and all going well Biggy will be back in harness, important that we follow up yesterday with another good result, these first three games are crucial to our progress in this division

bring biggy back in and leave it at that with regards to changes to the starting team, bit of consistency in selection would be nice

Agree with redser, but if its another wet sort of a day,I would play Sean Tobin ahead of McMahon

Thought the lads did quite well yesterday, considering it's the first serious game of the year in heavy conditions. Was worried about this fixture as it's the sort of game we've been losing for the last few years. Lots of sloppy play but if we can come away with results and improve game on game I'd be happy enough. Midfield and half back line will need serious improvement against Fermanagh. Fermanagh will be sore following the spanking from Derry and will doubtless go for it. With a bit if nerve and more physicality, a win is definitely on the cards for Meath.

I see the Fermanagh lads are complaining about their lack of physical presence in midfield.

Would bring in biggy and Tobin. Still little concerned about Harnan and tormey but hopefully they will improve, this game is winnable and we have to take the points, set us up well for rest of campaign.

I think we should stick with the team from yesterday, nothing to lose by giving the lads a second chance. McMahon, Power & Lenihan will be all too aware that they were below par and will want to prove us doubters wrong. We know what we have and hopefully will also have Biggy back to throw into the mix too. We are good enough to beat Fermanagh even it being away from home.
The biggest battle we face on Sunday and for the games against Galway,Cavan & Laois especially are in the 6 inches between the ears, against Derry and Tyrone we are going to have to be streetwise and most importantly be good enough. I heard that they mentioned on LMFM that Johnny Murtagh is now part of the back room team as a motivational coach which in my opinion is a fantastic move. I dont know how much we delved into this approach before but from looking at the set up and personnel with other top teams, i think this is essential in order for us to push forward. From my passing interest in flat racing i find Johnny to be a very genuine and principled person.

Also just to commend the lads who do the new podcast on Meath Gaa, well worth listening to.

But it was great going into work today with a win under our belts and grounds for some optimism. Mind you i haven't seen any of the Dublin highlights as of yet.

moylagh- I would agree with you-you need another midfielder and half backs are not up to the pace of game. A couple of forwards are not up to it either-some of whom have got many chances. RD -Of course the game is very winnable but will be a little more difficult than Armagh and we do not have a good record there. I do not see physicality being an issue either positively or negatively- it may be against Derry.

Southmeathgeal; he is waiting on an operation which is far from certain to work forget about him for Meath this year(possibly for good)he will struggle to get back to club football with this injury very unfortunate for him

Reilly will defiantly start on Sunday if fit, would also bring in Tobin who played well on Sunday, good man for the frees , imagine it will be a low scoring affair so every point will count. Tobin will be eased back in as sub to get him up to speed with rest of team.

Tobin was very good in O'Byrne cup games. He usually gives a good 50 mins each game

Surprised with the optimism about picking up the two points because I am not at all convinced, Meath's record away from home is very poor in the league and that needs to change. Need Biggy back badly for this game I feel, Fermanagh are a good team with some very clever forwards so this will be nip and tuck all the way.

Where is Donncha Tobin?

Given that Donncha Tobin has yet to feature at all so far this year, due to a shoulder injury by accounts but has taken part in the warmup on different days I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some game time with his club this weekend in the League before being brought into the county team.

On side note he's the vice captain for this year.
