Lads, I haven't played for my own club for a year or so as I have been in the uk. I have just joined a club in London but will I need to get transferred from my home club or is that only relevant to people who are of intercounty standard?? I transferred a few years ago to a UK club. I had to get my transfer signed by both clubs and then both county boards too I think (memory fading a bit). I had played right up until I left though, so maybe having taken a year off it would be handier for you. InTheLoop (Meath) - Posts: 147 - 15/01/2016 12:36:28 1816834 Link 0 |
Just be careful with that IDU. I was in London about 10 years ago and played ball over there. The club in London told me that the transfer had all been sorted - I signed a form etc so thought no more about it. When I got home a year later, my home club said there never received any transfer papers. So I was playing illegally. Just make sure, cos you don't want to be hit with a ban. Thanks for that Info Lads. Thankfully they don't start training until February but the fear of my first Pre-season in a few years is very real ha ha Irish_downunder (Meath) - Posts: 630 - 15/01/2016 14:01:34 1816872 Link 0 |

You need an inter county transfer which is signed by your club and the county board. When you transfer you can then play for whatever club you wish (same as moving from a club to another county in Ireland). The best of luck to you in your new club and in your work. Happy Xmas and New Year
