Fed up reading posts about the management. Which Meath players performed well during 2015 league and championship and who should be the backbone of the team going forward regardless of who is in charge ? subzero (Meath) - Posts: 69 - 27/07/2015 16:53:41 1759871 Link 0 |
Biggy and McGill for me where the only two stand out performers. Lads who came close would be Harry, Tormey and Podge Harnan. After that you can throw in Bryan McMahon maybe? Keoghan was dragged out of position too much to have the impact we all know he can produce, Donnacha Tobin similarly, I don't see him at CB he's a halfback for me. Everyone else after that needs to know their not indispensable. Bray showed flashes but is probably pushing on a bit to be a cornerstone in the future. Wally never got going, can't be blamed though he's only coming out of a serious injury, same goes for Kev. Quite dissapointed by Newman and Menton this year, I know injuries didn't help but as more experienced campaigners I felt they should have brought more to the table shldrs2thewheel (Meath) - Posts: 200 - 27/07/2015 17:45:33 1759917 Link 0 |
1 Graham Reilly, best player overall this year, and i don't think Westmeath would have clawed back if he hadn't been wrongly black carded, also if he was in position either Newman or harnan was , ball would have been fisted over bar. Cillian is back doing a lite bit of training and depending on how far Moynalvey get in the championship, he might have some involvement but he's well on the road to recovery! Meathmaster (Meath) - Posts: 251 - 28/07/2015 14:41:07 1760281 Link 0 |
