I think there's 8 teams in Divison 1. Skryne, Simonstown, Dunboyne, Dunshauglin, Ashbourne, Wolfe Tones, Summerhill and Colmcilles. I think 7 teams can win it with Dunshauglin being the exception. Tones won the league but Dunboyne beat them by 5 in the group. Both teams coming up from divison 2 look strong with Simonstown having 3 county minors and Skryne being the best team at 17's. Seems like it's really open unlike last year

Leitrim royal not doing justice to Wolf tones. Beating cilles by that score minus 3 starters is really impressive. hopefully the co board will start the minor championship the first week in Sept 2 groups of 4-round robin in each-top 2 qualify with wineers playing r/up in other group. Run on successive weeks and all over by Oct Midterm. cant draw it out like the league.

in the minor champ there should not be be div 1 and 2 all the teams should be drawn out in a knock out Champ and this would make meath underage football stronger .as we have allready played league format .

I can see where you are coming from but i would agree with teams getting at least 2 games. Also the weaker teams should have a realistic chance of winning something so all teams in one draw is not really fair. If some teams stopped using influence at co board level to have them graded in a lower division than they rightly should be in then things would be fairer. I have seen amalgamations of huge areas turning up with the bare 13 players at matches when they would have a pick of many more but only bring the best so as to stroll to a div 5 title and think they are the the bees knees. Short term thinking....
