What are the possible outcomes.

A Meath win still means they will be looking for a favour from someone does it ? Or what ...

Yeah waynol even if we win and both down and Roscommon win despite having a superior score difference we will not be promoted due to head to head with rossies. But hopefully Laois or Westmeath may get something.

Head to head looks like it will catch us out, but same rule saved us a few years back

What we really need to do on Sunday is proform at a high level, kick on from that very good win up in Newry.
promotion is out of our hands so we just need to prepare right and everyone give it 110% we need the win and bring some momentum
into the championship all these players should feel like they're aging for there championship place.Lets win this game and only concentrate on
that.if things work out that we win and get promoted well brilliant.

Agree with that, hopefully we perform and get a good result, that is the most important thing. the team selection will be interesting.I expect Bray to come back in.

Yes result is most important thing and actually if im been honest i don't think we will get beat.
Just expect the blanket they will bring, don't be surprised by it , plan accordingly and our better players should achieve a victory.
Btw i would be hopeful of westies in Mullingar.

With Tyrone and Derry heading down and Fermanagh and Armagh heading north , Div 2 next year will be a nightmare. Fingers and toes !!!

Ah lads i told you to forget about going up. You can support your neighbours and superiors in div 1 next year.

Yep RP. That's my fear too, better off taking our chances in div 1 where i think we could get 5 points. Now that may be a little optimistic, but hey that's me.

Meath have a woeful record against Ulster teams, and can't handle the blanket defence. I'd be fairly confident of a win here for us. A repeat of the last time we visited Navan would do nicely.

Meath need to forget about promotion and just concentrate on the job in hand. Historically speaking, we don't have a good record against northern teams, this appears to be improving. Last weeks win in Down, a place where we do have a poor record, should give the lads lots of confidence. First decent away win in quite a while. MOD appears to be giving as much game time as possible to long term injury return players. Wanted an improved performance last week and got that, still not hectic by any stretch of the imagination. Shooting is still poor, has been throughout the league. Midfield and defence improving nicely. Once again, am not too concerned about result, though would expect another improvement to yield a win.

Meath need to forget about Cavan and start thinking about crushing the dubs this this summer.

On the Contrary , Meath need to plan for what Cavan are going to bring with them on Sunday to Pairc Tailteann . Mr Hyland has mimicked the defensive system employed by a lot of the Northern Clans , Meath's last win was against a Down team that try to play open football most of the time .
They have not bought in fully to the citadel type defence that the majority of the province are now practising . Cavan on the other hand are doing it by the numbers so much so that they have improved on last years dour affair between themselves and Roscommon in Breffini Park in some of their games to date . The problem is now that this has become acceptable of Cavan , as they have eked out results against some good teams . The unfortunate thing is that over the last 5 years Cavan have been the U21 Kingpins in Ulster .So the talent is there to play football, but Mr Hyland has latched onto a system and he will employ it till the cows come home. Meath on the other hand have not been too successful against this type of system , and planning how it can be overcome now may be of benefit later on if things go well. So therefore I'd suggest that we do Plan for the Cavan blockade and learn to deal with this system .

Having played it a number of times in last 2 seasons
The best way to defeat it and in fact destroy it is go all out for a 3 or 4 point lead and make cavan play
Otherwise, the system strangles teams and fans to boredom there own included it's awful stuff to watch but to an extent effective in getting results

Agree Roscommon . Sunday will tell , if we are ever going to be able to play Ulster teams at this game Cavan is the team to try it on . How bad then if we fail , when we know what to expect , and can't plan against it .........MOD take note

The Great Glenny (clarified by my excellent predictions on an ongoing basis) has studied the form and is very conifent that Meath will beat Cavan on Sunday, I really feel with Gillispie back in the team and hopefully Reilly recovered from what ever twinge he has in his head along with the confidence gained in Newry that Meath had enough in the locker to win..... Sadly the twist in the tail is that both Roscommon and Down will also win and we will sail in 3rd
