Wouldn't be surprised to see Laois get something in Newry, and they need something to be sure of staying up just as Westmeath need points against Roscommon but I think that's a taller order to be honest. Its been a stressful task predicting this division and it's not over yet, lots to look forward too next Sunday

And Down aren't a traditional county? more so than Roscommon in my opinion..when did Roscommon last win All-Ireland?

Another scenario:

Meath Draw, Roscommon or Down Lose: Meath Promoted on scoring difference.

Unless Galway beat Kildare by more than 14 points.

if down draw, ros win, meath win Ros lose out as it will then be decided on score difference
if down draw, ros win, cavan win it will bw decided on score difference between ros and cavam

2 more scenarios for ye to chew on ye really are obsessed with promotion i thought league was for blooding and getting players fit but ye are absolutely obsessed with it

What a crazy, complicated and more importantly unfair way of deciding who gets promoted should teams finish level on points, it should have been a simple score difference as the first decider. It is very unfair if Meath lose out on promotion to Roscommon if Meath have a better score difference than Roscommon but lose out because Roscommon beat Meath in the league tie. Meath had to travel to Roscommon to play that game so having promotion based on that result where Roscommon had home advantage is not fair resolution.
Meath have a much better score difference than Roscommon and that is how it should be decided should they finish level on points.
Well done Meath on a great 2nd half display on Saturday night, finally get to see them win on the road.

Madmeath - Why is it so unfair that a team who has beaten another team should finish above them if level on points?
I'm not saying I agree with it but I don't really see your argument that Meath should feel aggrieved if the Rossies go up at our expense considering we were beaten by them.

A draw for Ros or Down would be enough for us if we win also.

Would be great to bate Cavan too and stop all the crowing from 2 years ago.

Yes once we win , nothing short of a win will do either rossies are Down .
Granted personally at this im getting less concerned if we promoted or not as the championship nears , but i still stand by that playing div 1 football would bring this team on.

As for all the various scenarios, it's our own bloody fault for needing someone else to do us a favor. Threw away a winning position against Laois, great comeback by Laois but doesn't excuse our hanging on for a draw. Left at least 1pt behind us against Ros as well. Concentrate on beating Cavan which will be hard enough. Of the other games, would hope that Laois can do us the favor, Westmeath seem to be destined for Div 3.

I was just making the point in my opinion that if the Meath/Roscommon game was played in a neutral venue them having the team that won that game promoted if both finished level on points would be fair, but as Roscommon had home advantage in that game I think it is not a fair way of deciding who should be promoted.

I understood your point but every game would have to be played at a neutral venue in that case.
