No Rd think it could be a toughy but we need to win this game or else we could find ourselves in a relegation dog fight. Think its winnable especially at home on a saturday night in front of a big crowd hopefully. I suppose we really should be winning these games if we are to have a progresive leinster campaign Forglory (Meath) - Posts: 85 - 02/03/2015 09:57:51 1698171 Link 0 |

Must win our home games and nothing less than two victories over the next two Saturday nights will suffice, this will be a close game as Westmeath have their dander up after yesterday and won't fear going to Navan but aa stated we have the better players and should win on our own pitch. I have a feeling that the postponement yesterday could be a blessing in disguise, if we get two home wins under our belts we could be in better fettle heading to Roscommon, it's just a thought but we might be all the better for the snow yesterday Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3734 - 02/03/2015 12:02:37 1698252 Link 0 |

Id actually be more worried about Westmeath than Roscommon, they have confidence a good mix of youth and experience, and no matter what they have experience of playing the top teams, yes 8 terrible defeats but it has brought them on. They have a few fine players, it won't be easy , but id still expect us to win. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 02/03/2015 18:47:47 1698472 Link 0 |
Well we will know after the next two games if we are in a promotion battle or relegation battle. We would expect to beat Westmeath and Laois in the championship,so just go out there and do it. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 02/03/2015 20:00:22 1698497 Link 0 |
I would put Roscommon ahead of Westmeath, should/must win this one at home if attitude and work rate are right. Absolutely no excuses seadog54 (Meath) - Posts: 2142 - 02/03/2015 21:03:03 1698534 Link 0 |
Seadog i actually think man for man Westmeath are ahead of Roscommon, but i agree we should win at home, but it ain't going to be easy. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 03/03/2015 08:22:14 1698560 Link 0 |

Its a must win game if we are to show any signs of progress. A home match it should be a given that we get the 2 points, I think there is more pressure on the lads for this match rather than the roscommon game because only a win will suffice Forglory (Meath) - Posts: 85 - 03/03/2015 09:40:10 1698578 Link 0 |
Ok so the Roscommon game being cancelled was a pain and disrupted the players and fans who traveled down but sure look that's gone now, we can do nothing about it. The positive slant on this situation is we now have 2 home games against Leinster opposition before our trip to Roscommon and fingers crossed if we can win both our home games that will give us great confidence against the Rossies. Now I know neither Westmeath nor Laois will be easy for us but coming to Navan won't be easy for them either so lets hope the players and management get it right. Think it will be harder to get a win next Saturday than against Roscommon last Sunday. Roscommon have better form than Westmeath, but it may come down to mental approach being the decider. Dublin /Donegal last year springs to mind. However , i still expect a Meath win nobull456 (Meath) - Posts: 1223 - 03/03/2015 12:21:30 1698657 Link 0 |

I live in Westmeath so i know alot about them . I will be honest, in a tiny bit worried, the worst thing we could be is complacent. Westmeath are up for this big time, it wont be easy but i still think we are going to win, but expect one hell of a battle. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 03/03/2015 16:29:09 1698808 Link 0 |
