Minor Hurling

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I see where it says Meath have a tough opening round against Offaly away in the first round of the Minor League.

Even tougher considering there still has to be a manager put in place. What chance do we have. A little over a month for a guy to come in get a team prepared to face Offaly. Bizarre!

it will take atleast 3 weeks to pick a panel of 33 and stick with that panel for the rest of the year, i know kiltale are very dominate at this level then dunboyne next best, theres a alot of players from last year to play this year and i see some silverware this year thank god!

Dunboyne were dire last year. Na FIanna pushed Kiltale all the way

Yes kiltale are the front runners, Na Fianna and Ratoath are not far behind with some lads from Trim,

Its an absolute joke no manager has been appointed and the league is starting in a month..Not a great start for new hurling chairman, maybe chairman shouldn't have been changed, how is meath hurling ment to improve if they haven't got a manager a month before the league ? Disgrace especially as there is a very strong bunch of lads there

This seems like an absolute disgrace to the county, no team, no manager and League in less than a month. How is hurling in the county meant to improve when County Board doesn't seem to give a b*llox

Sure theres so man y players missing from what I heard ? they'll go far in the BChampionship. league is clashing with many competitions including county minor, senior, collage and even school. league means nothing

they were missing almost all there big guns on Saturday a lot of the team were u17. I wouldn't get too worried about league when there missing so many players its all about championship

Big game for these lads tomorow. Playing Kerry in Trim at 2. Missing many last week and were well in it until a refereeing blunder to send a meath man off.

A better display from a very young team against Wicklow but cant understand why the older lads from last years squad are left on the bench strange. We need a goalkeeper.

It was going to be a big task replacing the likes of Charlie Bird Luke Moran Luke Maryn and Luke Swain and Conor Dempsy. But ther is some good lads the Ryan's are a bing miss but hopefully have them for Championship also the 3 lads that played on the Dunderry side that won the Inter and U21 Championships last year can't be dismissed either.

Good win for the lads against Wicklow good to see them get a win, lot of talent to work with
I heard mckenna from navan scored a savage score from the sideline with his first touch and also won a lot of frees,
The forward line is looking strong with cox from dunboyne scoring huge amounts, need a stronger midfield pairing and a keeper, still early days for them hope they have a good run

Nothing thought of hurling at this level by county board, maybe they looked at the last few results something wrong somewhere.
