NFL Galway v Meath

Can we push on from second half performance against the dubs?
This game is massive along with Kildare game. Two wins and we set up promotion bid.

No reason to say we can't. A win in Galway would lay a good marker for promotion. We were fairly scrappy playing them last year conceded 4 goals yet still won the game. Need to be a lot less wasteful with possession going forward and start delivering decent ball into the forwards.

no reason why Galway can't win either,I think we might lose this one to be honest.

We've been very inconsistent last number of years in the league. Looking at the fixture list, Roscommon away will be make or break. Min of 4 points from 6 will put us in the shake up for promotion. Will find it very difficult to get a win against Galway, I'd make them slight favs. Dreadful record away against Down and I'd expect it to continue, hope I'm wrong on this. Must win all home games, 10 points will put us there or there-abouts.

a lot of division 2 teams on the up. galway and Roscommon being two of them. We will do well to beat them but every game is a must win. Second half was good against the Dubs but we need to start taking chances. Far too many wides and shots dropping short.

Yep agree with jack ever game until we are promoted is a must win.
It was in salthill that a mistake by a player turned a certain win or at least a draw into defeat, and we ended up relegated to division 3 after the wheels came off. Lets not make silly mistakes. Promotion is a MUST.

Just a pity we don't have Cillian O'Sullivan or Alan Forde available this year, for different reasons Newman,G.Reilly,Tormey and E.Wallace are important in the forward division for us.But still not sure who I would play alongside them.Stephen Bray never really had a good league and he is getting older.

By the way is there any O'Mahonys lads out there that know what is happening with Forde? I know he had to have an op after O'Mahonys were knocked out,but haven't a clue what for or if he could make himself available for the panel.

Is it true that Alan forde had an operation cause as far as I heard he taking full part in o'mahonys training at the moment so it mustn't be too serious

Think Bray is a man for the championship, and needs time to build up full fitness.i think the league would help him achieve that. We all know he can be a class act on his day,so would keep him active for another while, unless his form slumps totally due to advancing age. I suppose Micko and co. will pick the best available at the time. I thought sideline did read the game well last sunday Those of us who expressed frustation, and looking for better after last year were certainly not abusing anybody, just merely expressing frustration. We all have an opinion, and wouldnt it be a pity if we could not express it on a forum like this.

Funny thing, pp has us 7/2 to lift trophy and 7/2 to be relegated.
I guess we are that much of a enigma these days.

Cavan
Roscommon
Kildare
Down
Galway
Westmeath
Laois

Royaldunne with all those things considered I can see why the odds of us going up are the same for going down. I'm really nervous because I agree with those odds. If we can win promotion we will be in a great position to have a go at the championship.

It is probably the most evenly matched (and weakest) NFL2 for some time.

Yep jack id agree. But as glas said it isn't that strong this year, i think if we don't get promotion well then next year it will be lot harder

Being honest. After the first round of the league we will know what attitude Meath will have for this campaign
I feel that Meath will need to field a lot of experience if they desire promotion along with some fringe players.

Meath still have a terrible away record and there are teams in the group that will be hard beaten.
A draw and a defeat could be enough to end promotion. So each game has to be a must win.

A loss to Galway could be very damaging.
