Can we push on from second half performance against the dubs? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 20/01/2015 10:41:49 1684704 Link 0 |
No reason to say we can't. A win in Galway would lay a good marker for promotion. We were fairly scrappy playing them last year conceded 4 goals yet still won the game. Need to be a lot less wasteful with possession going forward and start delivering decent ball into the forwards. Jimin10 (Meath) - Posts: 783 - 20/01/2015 13:58:05 1684787 Link 0 |
no reason why Galway can't win either,I think we might lose this one to be honest. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 20/01/2015 15:48:52 1684845 Link 0 |
We've been very inconsistent last number of years in the league. Looking at the fixture list, Roscommon away will be make or break. Min of 4 points from 6 will put us in the shake up for promotion. Will find it very difficult to get a win against Galway, I'd make them slight favs. Dreadful record away against Down and I'd expect it to continue, hope I'm wrong on this. Must win all home games, 10 points will put us there or there-abouts. moylagh (Meath) - Posts: 484 - 20/01/2015 16:39:28 1684865 Link 0 |
a lot of division 2 teams on the up. galway and Roscommon being two of them. We will do well to beat them but every game is a must win. Second half was good against the Dubs but we need to start taking chances. Far too many wides and shots dropping short. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 21/01/2015 16:19:55 1685212 Link 0 |
Yep agree with jack ever game until we are promoted is a must win. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 21/01/2015 16:49:15 1685225 Link 0 |
Just a pity we don't have Cillian O'Sullivan or Alan Forde available this year, for different reasons Newman,G.Reilly,Tormey and E.Wallace are important in the forward division for us.But still not sure who I would play alongside them.Stephen Bray never really had a good league and he is getting older. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 21/01/2015 17:07:27 1685234 Link 0 |
By the way is there any O'Mahonys lads out there that know what is happening with Forde? I know he had to have an op after O'Mahonys were knocked out,but haven't a clue what for or if he could make himself available for the panel. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 21/01/2015 17:16:03 1685239 Link 0 |
Is it true that Alan forde had an operation cause as far as I heard he taking full part in o'mahonys training at the moment so it mustn't be too serious shrek95 (Meath) - Posts: 77 - 21/01/2015 19:07:43 1685275 Link 0 |
Think Bray is a man for the championship, and needs time to build up full fitness.i think the league would help him achieve that. We all know he can be a class act on his day,so would keep him active for another while, unless his form slumps totally due to advancing age. I suppose Micko and co. will pick the best available at the time. I thought sideline did read the game well last sunday Those of us who expressed frustation, and looking for better after last year were certainly not abusing anybody, just merely expressing frustration. We all have an opinion, and wouldnt it be a pity if we could not express it on a forum like this. nobull456 (Meath) - Posts: 1198 - 21/01/2015 19:13:25 1685277 Link 0 |

It is probably the most evenly matched (and weakest) NFL2 for some time. GlasagusOr (Meath) - Posts: 1348 - 23/01/2015 21:23:13 1685982 Link 0 |
Yep jack id agree. But as glas said it isn't that strong this year, i think if we don't get promotion well then next year it will be lot harder royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 24/01/2015 09:26:13 1685996 Link 0 |
Being honest. After the first round of the league we will know what attitude Meath will have for this campaign Royalio11 (Meath) - Posts: 757 - 24/01/2015 15:56:55 1686035 Link 0 |
