It cant hurt cant it, having a record holding athlete as a member of theMeath staff,,, does it mean Colm Brady is no more? sob (Meath) - Posts: 492 - 31/10/2014 14:37:42 1668671 Link 0 |
Its a positive step, at least management have acknowledged there is a problem in the fitness/conditioning area. But think Brady will still be there. Its now up to Micko to get attitude and sprit in squad right. seadog54 (Meath) - Posts: 2128 - 31/10/2014 19:12:31 1668750 Link 0 |
Will there be a new coach brought into coach how to play football, surely strength and conditioning is not why we are so poor. Barney123 (Meath) - Posts: 676 - 31/10/2014 20:50:02 1668761 Link 0 |
Don't know much about him but is it enough? We also need a addition on sideline someone with a astute football brain. Hopefully that announcement is in the pipeline. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 31/10/2014 21:53:00 1668778 Link 0 |

Lads he was involved during the championship this summer. I think he was will be focussing on getting them being a bit more explosive over the first five yards mainly because that was sorely lacking in some players brian (Meath) - Posts: 1954 - 01/11/2014 16:27:34 1668853 Link 0 |

If he was involved last year why is he being paraded as a newbie ?? royalpainter (Meath) - Posts: 874 - 01/11/2014 18:15:13 1668878 Link 0 |
This man was not involved last year to my knowledge, never heard of him being involved before in any capacity, too much negativity here lads everyone has been calling for a new fitness person in the set up, we've got one and still some are not happy, let's give it a chance lads I think everyone involved in the team from players to management to back room staff to supported know 2015 is a really important year in terms of the teams future so let's see what transpires certainly the work appears well underway Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3734 - 01/11/2014 18:46:14 1668885 Link 0 |

I agree,we need to to support the managament team, some here WANT them to fail, therefore they want the team to fail, which is a disgrace really.Give them the year and if there is no improvement then people can complain. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 01/11/2014 21:56:11 1668940 Link 0 |
Absolutely agree we need to support team and management. But totally disagree that is done blindly. No one including any part of management is above criticism nor should be. Once its constructive and not derogatory then I think us the fans have a right to ask questions. Now I for the first time in very long time am very wary of this coming year. I don't see promotion as a given. Management must and in fairness seem to be putting in a new format. I more so than anyone want this to be a successful year. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 03/11/2014 11:42:41 1669281 Link 0 |
Define success ? the majority of Meath supporters are to be honest deluded, Meath will do well to hold Div 2 status Analyst (Meath) - Posts: 1466 - 03/11/2014 12:10:45 1669295 Link 0 |
Jesus Analyst, some of us are optimistic, but you're patently pessimistic. lucky to hold onto our division 2 status,... I just checked my calender and its not April fools day!! brian (Meath) - Posts: 1954 - 03/11/2014 12:35:28 1669308 Link 0 |

I am not being negative, just being honest, I said last year we would do well to hold Div 2 and we did, I actually think that with some of our experienced players leaving or just becoming that bit older and slower that we will find it very tough in Div 2 Analyst (Meath) - Posts: 1466 - 03/11/2014 13:05:13 1669327 Link 0 |
Look after a successful enough first year with plenty of mistakes, we stagnated this one and we made the same mistakes. that to me was the worrying aspect of it all. We didn't learn from our mistakes. This year has to be different or we are just going around in circles. I've said this before and I'll say it again , with the exception of 2 players man for man we are on a par talent wise with the likes of Donegal armagh Tyrone. The difference is they cut their cloth to measure. I don't care if we play 15 men behind the ball or go all out attack. I'll give a prime example of playing a team to beat a team. V armagh not to start biggy was crazy, we knew how armagh would play we needed players to kick points from 45 to have a chance. Now no doubt he had shocker against dubs but that was always going to be a different proposition. Also and no disrespect to the lad but to bring on young wallace wwhen we needed a goal was just surreal. These are the basic mistakes im talking about. You play your best players to beat the opposition in a system that the opponents aren't comfortable with, that sometimes means you do not play your best 15. Horses for courses. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 03/11/2014 13:34:19 1669345 Link 0 |
